I’m passionate about cats and dogs. My family includes my husband (whose opinion will be mentioned every so often), 3 cats, 1 dog (formerly 2, we miss you Rusty), and currently 3 barn cats.
I was fortunate enough to grow up with dogs, mostly large breeds. As a teenager, I fell in love with cats when I bought a kitten and hid her in the my bedroom without my family knowing for months. Dogs are what brought my husband and I together years ago. So yes, animals hold a very big place in my heart.
From a young age I’ve enjoyed photography and want to share some of my favorites with my readers. As an adult, I always have my camera readily accessible because you can never plan when that photo-op will arise especially with this many animals in the house and wildlife walking past our window. I don’t know what I would do without my cellphone camera. I can’t count how many times I’ve had to save the pics to my computer to free up memory!
My husband and I decided to finally become a foster home for Golden Retrievers after suffering the loss of our beloved Rusty. Rusty came from Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue http://www.dlrrphoenix.org/ in Arizona. He had a wonderful foster mom who provided us with the data we needed to make sure we found a dog who would be a good fit for our family. Rusty turned out to be so much better than we ever could have expected. What better way to honor Rusty’s memory than being a foster home for other dogs in need? We are particularly fond of Retrievers so we applied to be a foster home for Golden Bond Rescue of Oregon where we fostered 5 dogs over approx a year and a half. Unfortunately that didn’t work out due to being mistreated by a board member and lack of support from other volunteers (Click Here for more details).
I also enjoy solving problems and making things better. When I find a product that helps me in this department I share that with others. I don’t take a store or company’s word that I NEED a product because they’re just trying to make money. I have some strong opinions and want to share them, hopefully helping others in the process. Hopefully you will benefit from my findings!
